The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is being implemented in partnership with the Government of Canada. It is primarily an economic program under which qualified, skilled workers and business people from around the world are selected to live, work and do business in New Brunswick.
Eligibility criteria vary for the different immigration streams:
New applications are not being accepted under the business category stream by the Government of New Brunswick until further notice.
Family Support Stream
The family support stream under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program Skilled Worker was discontinued on February 16, 2018. Any applications received by that date are being processed while the ones received after that date are being returned to the applicants.
Skilled Workers with Employer Support
The Skilled worker stream has been recently added to the NBPNP which allows applicants between the ages of 22 and 55 with sufficient English or French language abilities to apply. They need to live and work in New Brunswick in an area of skill shortage included under the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels.
NBPNP Express Entry Program
The Express Entry program is temporarily discontinued until further notice. New ‘Expression of Interest’ (EOI) are not being issued to the applicants. Its eligibility criteria include possessing English or French language proficiency, education qualifications as laid down, occupation should also be in the area of skill shortage under the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels.
