International Experience Canada (IEC) is a program that allows you to live and work in Canada temporarily while you complete your studies at another institution in another country. It’s also known as an exchange program or international mobility scheme.

If you need immigration services in Canada, we’re here to help you. Applying for IEC can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. Here’s what you need to know about it.

What Is International Experience Canada?

International Experience Canada (IEC) is a government-run program that allows certain Canadians to gain international work experience and develop their skills through placements in other countries.

The program is open to Canadian citizens who are at least 18 years old, have a clean criminal record, have completed secondary school education, or have a high school diploma plus one year of work experience.

You can also apply if you’re between 18 and 35 years old with at least two years of full-time paid employment within three years before applying for IEC (or any other immigration program).

If you meet these qualifications and wish to apply for IEC, your resume must include references from previous employers who can attest to your work experience and expertise in specific areas such as business development or finance management.

  • To study at an international institution (provided it’s on offer)
