Farah Saleem is an immigration and refugee lawyer.
Farah has successfully advocated for clients at the Federal Court of Canada and all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board, including the Immigration Division (ID), the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD), the Refugee Protection Division (RPD), and the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD).
This representation includes refugee appeals, detention reviews, and sponsorship appeals. Prior to joining Nanda & Associates, Farah worked at a nationally recognized Toronto based immigration and refugee law firm where she gained extensive experience in deportation, refugee appeal, detention, and Federal Court judicial review cases. Her notable Federal Court cases include:

Farah specializes in assisting clients in gaining temporary and permanent residence in Canada through a variety of immigration applications including family class sponsorship, temporary residence (super visa, visitor, worker, and student), applications for permanent residence on Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) grounds, and Pre-removal Risk Assessments (PRRA). She represents clients facing inadmissibility, and with ARC, pardon, and criminal rehabilitation applications. She assists clients with Express Entry, PNPs, LMIAs and LMIA- exempt work permit application.
Farah believes strongly in protecting the rights and interests of non-citizens. Her extracurricular experiences include volunteering with the Centre for Policy Alternatives in Sri Lanka, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in Toronto, Community Legal Aid in Windsor, and Studio 89/YTGA in Mississauga. During her time at Windsor Law, she was awarded the Social Justice Fellowship in 2014 and the Transnational Law and Justice Fellowship in 2016.
